I've taken advantage of the snow day today to get my short story collection, Chronicles of Riss, out. It will be available shortly on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Apple iBooks, Scribd, Kobo, Tolino, and Pagefoundry. I update again once they're live.

Things have been pretty busy for me lately, but I've finally managed to figure out (I think) what I need to do in terms of getting my short story collection out. By the way, I have called it Chronicles of Riss, and already have added placeholders on this site for it. Anyway, now that I know (or think I know) what I'm going to do in terms of publishing, it shouldn't be long before it's available for you all. I'll let you all know when it's ready for you. I hope you all will enjoy it.
Happy New Year! Hope 2015 is treating you good so far. It's still kind of early to really see how the year is going, but so far, it seems to be going fairly well.
I've finished reading through the short stories for my collection project, so now I just need to work on the publishing aspect. Hopefully I can have it out for you all soon. Today I received a nice comment on a Pinterest pin for my book Kismet and Tell which says, "I'm not really into fantasy, but you've got me interested." You can see the pin and comment here. Feedback and comments like this are such a confidence booster :) Just want to let you all know that I'm working on the short story collection that I mentioned in my earlier post. These are stories recounting some of Riss's earlier adventures, before what happens in Kismet and Tell. I'm working on reading through and tweaking the stories now and figure I'm about halfway through them. I hope to have the collection out to you all soon. So keep checking back for more updates, and I'll let you all know when it's ready. With Christmas coming up, time to work on it will be constrained, but I hope to get as much done as I can.
Happy Thanksgiving! May you all have a good day sharing with family and friends.
Here is a post on my Wordpress blog with some Thanksgiving funnies you can enjoy. So, on this day of giving thanks, what are you thankful for? I'm thankful that I'm still here. I'm thankful that I'm still writing (when I can). I'm thankful that I've had a couple of people recently post on my Facebook page that they're reading my book, Kismet and Tell, and are enjoying it. It's encouraged me to keep writing and renewed my interest in collecting some of my KaT short stories together for future publication (hopefully I'll do that soon). I'm thankful I met my new boyfriend and for the time we get to spend together. There are a few other things, but I'll keep this short. So how about you? What are you thankful for? Shame on me for not updating here sooner. But then again, there really hasn't been much to update. Things have just been really busy on the homefront lately, and my writing time has kind of taken a hit. I hope to fix that soon and get back to working on my book asap. I also have been kind of busy on my Wordpress blog, too. So you can always keep track of me there. I've just started a sort-of mystery/detective short story on the Wordpress blog, too. Check it out if you like. It's under the Writing category. Just posted the 3rd part of it the other day, and in it you can find links to the first 2 parts. Well, I guess that's it for now. As I said, not much to update at the moment. Hopefully I'll have something more to share later.
I've taken the plunge and joined Twitter. You can follow me there:
@risscobalt Well, I've been working off and on on this chapter, trying to get it finished. Setting the daily word count goal seems to have helped some, though I did slip a few times, and only get about half the goal met a couple times and a couple days I just couldn't get anything written. Today I worked on it for a couple hours or so, and got about 1200 words done, and finished the chapter. You can find Chapter 14 of A Goddess Awakens on my AuthorsDen page, here. Previous chapters are also on there. Feedback is much appreciated.
Wishing a happy and safe Independence Day to all :) What a day it's been, with Hurricane Arthur brushing by overnight and this morning. Thankfully it wasn't bad and we only got hit with the edge of it. We've definitely been through worse tropical storms and hurricanes. This wasn't much more than just a moderately bad normal storm, with only an inch or two of rain and wind gusts up to around 50 mph.
In other news, the other day I started trying to keep a daily word count goal so I can try to get more of my book completed. I set it at 300 words. Hopefully I can keep to it, and get more than that done once in a while. I figure 300 words I can get done easily after work in the afternoons, and get at least that much if not more done on weekends. I've been doing pretty good with it so far this week. Wish me luck that I can keep at it. I just created a new blog page on Wordpress. You can follow this new companion blog here. I will continue to post here as well, so keep following this blog, too, please.
