"Almost" (a poem for writers)

This is a little poem I threw together yesterday. I'm sure all you writers (and other creative people) out there can relate to it :)

I almost had it

I could feel it there

Tickling at my brain

Trying to get my attention

Trying to grow into something

And then came the darkness

And the burgeoning thought

The idea that had been forming

Was lost to Dreamland
